U S Virgin Islands

Cruz Bay is full of treasures for shoppers. Here you can browse in a relaxed atmosphere in small stores offering individualized products and services. You will find a startling array of items and styles, certain to find "something for everyone" on your list. Dedicated shoppers can cover the town in a day, but most prefer to browse a bit each day of their stay.

Coral Bay is "the country" to Cruz Bay's "town".  Make sure to visit this unusual East End community.  You will find interesting shopping, restaurants, bars, deli, watersports & probably a few surprises. The goats are not wild; they belong to people. They are not pets.

COMPLETE DIRECTORY of SHOPPING in CORAL BAY
St. John, U S Virgin Islands

Plan to take the drive to Coral Bay, 8 miles from Cruz Bay.  All roads out of town eventually lead to Coral Bay.  If you drive on Centerline Road, along the way, you will see the Bordeaux Mountain Overlook.  Stop, get out, and have a look at a breathtaking view of Coral Bay & beyond--and SHOP!

Keep going & you get to "The Triangle" & must choose.  The left fork takes you to the East End.  The right fork takes you to Salt Pond & beyond to Lameshur Bay.  Good idea to go one way, then another day, go the other way.  Both are beautiful & breathtaking with good roads.  Bring your camera & take your time.  From the East End, you can see the entire Sir Francis Drake Channel all the way to Virgin Gorda, the fat one in the middle, 40 miles away.

Bordeaux Mountain Overlook
Enjoy a cool drink at the outdoor refreshment stand. After a while of relaxing in the cool breeze, do some shopping. Eventually, you will make it to Coral Bay. No rush.

Coccoloba
This shopping center is the newest one in Coral Bay. The plaza is, more or less, located across from Island Blues.

Triangle to East End This drive takes you past Hurricane Hole, Haulover Bay & all the way to Round Bay.  Tortola looks so close that you almost can touch it.  See for yourself why so many artists live out this way.  Enjoy unusual island shopping & eating.  Slow down for dogs sleeping in the road.

Triangle to Salt Pond
Go right at the triangle & get a look at Coral Harbor & its impressive fleet of traditional & modern sailing vessels.  Enjoy the breezes & views.  Shop, eat, swim & people watch along the way.
