"The Day After
"
St. John the day after Hurricane Marilyn, September 1995
Ronnie & Leslie Klingsberg spent the night under this house with their daughter, Christina, who was 1 year old.
In 1995, during the night between September 15 and 16, Hurricane Marilyn, a category 3 storm,
swept through the USVI bringing 130 mph winds for many hours.
Some believe the gusts were over 200 mph.
There was evidence that tornadoes were contained within the hurricane.
It is a night that none of us will ever forget.
