We went 1/97. Loved it. Cool idea, extremely relaxing. I absolutely loved the sound of the rain on the canvas tent and being so close to nature. Felt fully recovered after that vacation. Didn't like being nickled & dimed for everything (rent a beach chair, etc.), & was unaware of cold water showers until we arrived at 8p 1st night & tried to take a hot shower. Ye-e-e-e! Planning next trip back for 99. I agree, no jeep necessary (take taxi). : We've been to Maho twice and will be there again at the end of the month. For teens there's not a lot to do besides watersports but those are ample. they should plan to do without music for the week unless they have headphones. The stairs are killers but unavoidable. I have found section D the best. Good views, close to Restaurant/Pavillion and not too far from beach. I would think twice before renting a Jeep. The roads are somewhat scary and unless you plan to eat in Cruz Bay every day it's not worth the agravation. Enjoy your trip! You'll love it
