: My wife and I plan on visiting St. John in May. We figure on having time for only one day trip and are interested in hearing first hand accounts of good trips

I highly recommend the following day trip: The Norman Island trip on "Breath" a ketch built in St. John by the owners, Peter and Dorothy, who have lived on St. John since 1968. It's a lovely trip on a fabulous boat, with a very brief stop at Tortola and two snorkeling stops, one at "the Indians," 3 rocks jutting out of the water off Norman Island, followed by huge, delicious lunch at a 'pirate ship' restaurant/bar moored in one of Norman Island's 3 bays, followed by more snorkeling at the caves. Minimum 4 people, and they'll change their itinerary as you like. If you enjoy sailing, snorkeling, good food and a great captain, I highly recommend this trip.
